Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that his Government is working to ensure security for women because this government is committed to provide best possible amenities to the fairer sex so that they can become self reliant.
“The government has initiated proposals which are women centric and are aimed at bringing women at par with the men. This is done with a design to ensure women have the self belief that they can do anything and everything,” Yogi said while addressing a seminar “Role of media, school and society in controlling violence against women” here on Sunday.
Chief Minister said violence against women is a very talked about issue. This is heinous to think about people committing crime against women. Those commit such crime are of perverted mentality. This shows lack of moral value in them.
“Family is the first school where a child gets primary lessons of life. He gets the seeds of sanskar from there. If the seeds are strong the person becomes educated and follower of law. If he becomes a good citizen he contributes to the welfare of the State. This positivity spreads a good message across and helps in building good society,” he said.
Chief minister also said that media can play a positive role in highlighting violence against women. “Government of India has taken many steps for the welfare of women which will help in making India strong,” he said.
He also talked about steps UP Government has taken for the welfare of women which includes starting a women helpline 181 and women powerline 1090. “Government has also started Anti Romeo squad with an aim to control crime against women,” he said.
