Lawyers on Monday mentioned before the Supreme Court for an urgent hearing into the matter in connection with an alleged Alwar lynching case in which a person was beaten to death.
Deepali Dwivedi, one of the lawyers appearing for her client Tehsheen Poonawala, mentioned this before the Supreme Court three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra.
She also sought an urgent hearing on the contempt case against Rajasthan. Two similar contempt petitions are already pending against Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments.
The apex court said, “we will hear the fresh one along with the others, pending for disposal.”The Supreme Court added, “we would hear all the matters on August 20, the next date of hearing in the case”
