Samsung on Monday launched its latest series of Galaxy J6, J8, A6 and A6+ in the country. Samsung India Director Sumit Walia said, the mobile market in India is growing 30-32 per cent, whereas Samsung growing more than 40 per cent. He hopped to achieve 45 per cent market share after the launch of the latest series. “ The recently launched models including SA, S8, S9, S9+ has driving lot of growth for us”, he said.
Mr Walia said that the company has posted Rs 34,300 crore revenue in mobile segment with the growth rate of 27 per cent during the financial year 2017-18. It was record, he said and hopped to achieve record growth during the current financial year 2018-19.
He said that the company has mobile manufacturing plant in Noida. Recently the company has decided to expand it with doubling its production capacity by investing Rs 5,000 crore.
“ All the Samsung mobiles which are selling in India are manufacturing in India itself. The company has three R and D Centers, one at Bangaluru and two centers in Noida”, Mr Walia said.
Speaking on galaxy J6, J8, A6 and A6+, Mr Walia said that the smartphones gives users nearly 15 per cent more display area without increasing the overall size of the device due to extremely thin bezels. It has brought about changes in the display hardware that delivers a 18.5:9 aspect ratio to provide an end-to-end viewing experience and more browsing space.
All four devices come with Samsung’s Super AMOLED display technology that produces deeper contrasts and delivers the most vivid viewing experience. Samsung’s Infinity display experience is further strengthened by a new ‘Chat Over Video’ feature that facilitates an uninterrupted viewing experience while chatting.
Galaxy A series smartphones come with metal unibody and sleek design. While the A6+ has a 6” FHD+ display, the Galaxy A6 sports a 5.6” HD+ display. Galaxy J series smartphones come with a premium polycarbonate unibody. The J8 has a 6” HD+ display, while J6 come with 5.6” HD+ display. All four smartphones have sleek curves and an ergonomic design with elegant style and comfortable grip.
“ These smart phones will set the standard for an unparalleled viewing experience with Samsung’s signature super AMOLED Infinity Display. These phones also get dual rear cameras that let users capture professional grade bokeh images and express themselves in a unique manner”, Mr Walia said.
Galaxy J6, A6 and A6+ will be available across the company retail and Samsung eshop website from May 22. Galaxy J6 will also be available on Flipkart, while the Galaxy A6 and A6+ will also be available on Amazon on the same date. J8 will be available from July onwards.
