Continuing its free-fall, the Rupee on Thursday lost another 15 paise to 70.74 a new record low against the US dollar on strong month-end demand for the US currency amid sustained foreign fund outflows, dealers said.
In the opening trade, the domestic unit fell by three paise to 70.62.
Till the end of the session, it further dropped by 15 paise to 70.74, a record low as compared to its last close.
A major fluctuation was seen during the day as it registered day high and low at 70.86 and 70.59 respectively.
Strong dollar against other world currencies and negative stock market put the Rupee down, they added.
