Rajnath Singh to be chief guest on International Yoga Day in Lucknow

As the Yogi Adityanath Government in Uttar Pradesh is gearing up for the massive celebration on Yoga Day, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be the chief guest of the function that would be held at Raj Bhawan lawn in the state capital on June 21.

“The guidelines have been issued to the district administrations across the state to celebrate the Yoga Day in the state,” Minister of State for Ayush Dr Dharam Singh Saini said here on Friday.

“The NGOs, voluntary organizations, students from different school and colleges and jawans from police and para-military forces will participate in this function,” the Minister said.

“Volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Patanjali, Art of Living, Gyatri Parivar and Brahm Kumaris will also take part in this festival,” he said.

In Lucknow, this Yoga festival will be held at 10 main parks of the city. The function will be held between 6 am and 8 am.

“Cultural programmes, workshops and seminars will be held across the state in next few days to motivate people to take part in the festival in large number,” he said adding that the participation of people should be more than the previous years,”.

The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also issued a guidelines. In its directive government has made District magistrate as a nodal officer in District while SDM will be nodal officer at tehsil and BDP at block level.

He also asked the officers to maintain cleanliness and provide drinking water for the participants.

“The logo of Kumbh Mela should be used in the T-shirts that would be given to the participants,” he said.
