PM Modi blunts opposition criticism, defends pro-Dalit policies of BJP, Govt

In a video interaction with BJP workers on the occasion of the party’s foundation day, Mr. Modi said that today opposition to BJP is at its highest. ‘Sometimes, it also takes a violent turn. It is not because we made a mistake. It is strength of BJP that affects opponents,’ he said.
‘In the BJP there are no divisions, no dynasty politics and no I versus you. It is truly democratic and a only democratic political party can effectively serve a democratic nation,’ Mr Modi told the party workers.
‘Opponents can’t imagine that when we got the opportunity to elect a President, we elected a person of Dalit community. Those who spread lies cannot digest how BJP can have so many Dalit MPs, SC/ST MLAs & MPs and so an environment of opposition is being created towards BJP,’ Mr Modi said stoutly defending his party’s pro-Dalit stance.
He appealed to all party workers not to lose their calm and always speak in a dignified manner. ‘We only have to devote ourselves to Maa Bharti and work for the country not for ourselves,’ he said during video interaction.
