No culprit will be spared , full justice will be meted out to victims: PM on Unnao, Kathua cases

Breaking his silence on the brutal incidents of rape in Unnao and Kathua, which has led to outrage across the country , Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday assured the country that no culprit will be spared and full justice will be meted out to the victims.

Speaking after dedicating Dr Ambedkar National Memorial at Alipur Road to the nation, Mr Modi said ‘such incidents shake our conscience. I want to assure the country that justice will be meted out fully. We all should work to dismantle this inner evil of our society.’

Addressing the gathering Mr Modi said,’I had the courage to speak from the Red Fort that we should question our sons and not our daughters. There is a need to strengthen the society and inculcate social value to realise the vision of Baba Sahib to create a ‘new India’.’

The PM’s remarks come in the wake of widespread outrage over the rape incidents in Unnao and Kathua,  Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday night led a candlelight march at India Gte to protest the incidents and rising cases of violence against women.
