To screen the Nipah Virus government will set up a medical check up team in all major stations of Gujarat, including Kalupur station in Ahmedabad city.

Kerala has so far recorded 10 deaths due to Nipah virus virus. The last time the government set up medical teams at the railway stations was when Swine Flu was spreading.
Sources said that following the reports of outbreak of the virus in the southern state, mostly in rural areas, several tourists from the state have either cut their visit short or have cancelled it entirely.
