When many parts of Maharashtra are experiencing scorching heat of the summer season, Mumbai city has been experiencing lesser degrees of temperature, albeit the high levels of humidity for the past few weeks, claimed sources.
The city experienced maximum temperature of 33 degree Celsius and minimum of 24 degree Celsius on Thursday. The temperature levels are likely to be in the same range for the next few days, said a senior Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
Many parts of Maharashtra, and mainly isolated regions, are witnessing extreme heat together with the hottest days of the summer season, he said.
“The intense weather is expected to continue for the next two to three days at least. We advise people to stay in and be safe from the heat,” he added.
