Lalu was granted three days parole to attend his eldest son

RJD Chief Lalu Prasad reached here on Thursday after he was granted three days parole to attend his eldest son and former health minister Tej Pratap

Yadav`s marriage scheduled on May 12. Along with Tej Pratap, Mr Prasad`s daughter and MP Misa Bharati were present at  Jai Prakash Narain International Airport to receive him.

As soon as Mr Prasad arrived at the designated area for visitors on wheel chair, his  family members and RJD workers welcomed him. RJD supporters were also raising  slogans at the airport.

Later, Mr Prasad drove straight to his residence in a car with Tej Prasad and a doctor accompanying him in the vehicle. To welcome Mr Prasad, his wife and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and youngest  son and Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Tejaswi Yadav and other family  members were present outside the main gate of the residence at 10, Circular Road.

Mr Prasad met Rabri Devi and other family members after 138 days. A large number of RJD supporters waited long outside the residence to welcome  Mr Prasad, as security personnel faced tough time in tackling the situation as the  crowd also went out of control for a brief period.

Mr Prasad was put behind bars in Ranchi based Hotwar jail after his conviction  in the fodder scam.
