Upping the ante against the BJP-led government at the Centre over Unnao and Kathua rape cases, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday accused that it was trying to ‘shield’ the accused involved in both the incidents.
Citing both the cases, Mr Kejriwal who joined Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal’s protest here at Rajghat said,”these two incidents have given a message, leave MLA (Kuldeep Singh Senger), if the ‘rapists’ is even a simple worker of the party, then the entire BJP and its leaders will try to save the accused.
All the machinery will be used to trouble the victim. “Ms Maliwal has been sitting on indefinite hunger strike here at Rajghat demanding capital punishment to rapists since last three days.
”As Chief Minister, I am worried about the safety of women in Delhi.
