The meeting was held at the residence of the Home Minister where Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and Intelligence Bureau Chief Rajiv Jain briefed the security situation to Mr Singh.
Though the officials remained tight-lipped on deliberation of the hour-long meeting, it is understood that the issue of casualty of the forces and overall security scenario of the state prominently figured in the meeting.
“These attacks are sponsored and supported by the perpetrators across the border,” said a source in the Ministry.
On Saturday, three terrorist had entered in the residential area of the Army’s 26 Battalion camp at Sunjwan in Jammu where five Army personnel and one civilian were killed. The three terrorist were killed in the operation by the Army.
On Monday, two terrorists tried to enter the 23 Battalion Headquarter of the Central Reserve Police Force at Keran Nagar in Srinagar but an alert sentry fired on the approaching militants and in the exchange of fire, one constable of the paramilitary was killed.
