IPL 2018: SRH win by 1 wicket against Mumbai Indians

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Mumbai Indians (MI) in the VIVO IPL T20 match held at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Thursday night.  With this, SRH has won two matches in the tournament so far.

Mumbai scored 147 for eight, while Hyderabad scored 148 runs for nine wickets and won the match. This is Hyderabad’s second successive win while Mumbai has a second consecutive defeat.

While chasing the target, Hyderabad’s Ridhiman Saha 22 and Shikhar Dhawan 45 runs gave a good start by scoring 62 runs, in 6.5 runs for the first wicket.
At that time, it seemed that there will be no problem, in winning the match. But 20-year-old young leg spinner Mayank Markande of Punjab sent Saha, Shikhar, Manish Pandey and Shakib Al Hasan to the pavillion, putting Hyderabad in deep trouble.

Hyderabad lost their five wickets to a score of 107 runs. 20-year-old bowler Mayank Markande from MI got the ‘purple cap’ for achieving total of 7 wickets in two matches, including four wickets in the second match against SRH while Rashid Khan from SRH was given the man of the match for the 18 dot balls in his four overs.

Earlier, Mumbai lost their consecutive wickets but due to impressive performance of some batsmen The team managed to reach 147 runs.  Rohit Sharma the captain of Mumbai Indians soon went to pavillion. Rohit scored 10 in 11 balls with the help of one four and one six.

Wicketkeeper Ishaan Kishan scored nine runs in nine balls. Evelin Lewis in just 17 balls got 29 by hitting three fours and two sixes. Mumbai, 133 for five wickets and soon lost three wickets. However, Mumbai managed to score 147 runs.  Sandeep Sharma took two wickets by giving 25 runs, Billy Stanleyk, two for 42, and Siddhardh Kaul got two wickets by giving 29 runs.
