Gujarati literature – Satirist and biographer Vinod Bhatt passes away

Gujarati literature satirist and biographer Vinod Bhatt passes away.   Tribute given to him by many people  include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani as well as Congress leaders Amit Chavda, Arjun Modhwadia and Paresh Dhanani.

People from all walks of life paid rich tribute to Bhatt, author of dozens of Gujarati books and weekly columns in Gujarati newspapers.  Bhatt was bed-ridden for a long time due to kidney failure, his family members told reporters. As per his last wish, his body will be donated for medical research, they said.

Apart from being a columnist, Bhatt had authored more than 45 books in different genres, including satire, comedy and biography.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani expressed his grief over Bhatt’s demise saying he will be remembered for his satire-laced writings.
