Cyber Crime in Ahmedabad on Sunday nabbed a 46-year-old Rajkot resident for morphing photographs and posting lewd messages by creating fake IDs on social media platform of his distant maternal aunt.
He is among the three who were arrested for creating fake IDs and posting morphed photos and obscene messages with the intention of causing disrepute to women.
Girish Laxmanbhai Prajapati (46), a resident of Deepak Society, Rajkot and working with a printing press was arrested on Saturday. According to the complainant, the accused had created two accounts of his aunt when she came on a visit from London.
A crime was registered under IT Act and further investigation is being done by Cyber Crime PI J S Gedam. In another complaint registered on Friday Ramesh Julasana (22) and resident of Amrapali Flats in Bapunagar was arrested on Saturday for creating fake Instagram IDs of a female school friend. Ramesh sent morphed photos and obscene messages in chats to friends and relatives of his former school friend whom he apparently was attracted to. Ramesh admitted during questioning that he had taken photographs and photographs of the girl when they were friends.
