Gujarat board exams to commence today

A total of 18.50 lakh students of class 10 and 12 will appear for board exams beginning on Thursday. Over 85,000 students will appear for Class 10 and 12 state board examination from Ahmedabad beginning March 7.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Tuesday announced an action plan for board exams specifying there will be a total of 264 CCTV cameras installed at all examination centres across the state.
For the first time this year, CCTV cameras will be equipped with a voice recorder. These cameras will be installed at the new examination centres. The board also declared five sensitive centres in Ahmedabad rural and city with one sensitive centre in Bapunagar in Ahmedabad.
Class 12 students will appear for Physics (Science stream) and Accountancy (General stream) on day 1 whereas class 10 students will appear for first language paper.
On the first day of the exam, state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama will personally wish students entering the examination hall with a flower at Gurukul school number 23 in Gandhinagar.
