Clearance given for construction of two important roads in naxalite affected forest area: Modi

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Friday said that approval had been given by National Board for Wild Life for construction of two  important roads in naxalite affected forest area in Kaimur and Bheem Bandh wild life  protected region of the state.

Mr Modi said here that two roads in Kaimur and Bheem Bandh wild life protected region would be constructed which were also naxalite affected.  Approval for construction of roads had been given by National Board for Wild Life,  which was pending since long, he added.

“The length of road to be constructed in Kaimur wild life protected region would be 55 KMs while in Bheem Bandh wild life region, the length of road would be 10 KMs,” Deputy Chief Minister said adding that two laboratories would also be opened  in Patna and Begusarai for testing the purity of Ganga water and the Central  government had approved the allocation of Rs 10.91 crores for the purpose which  would help in assessing polution level of Ganga river.
