Centre misusing CBI, IT and ED for vindictive politics, alleges Pondy CM

Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanaswamy on Sunday alleged that Narendra Modi led Centre is misusing the CBI, Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate for vindictive politics and predicted that the Congress would win the Karnataka elections.

Addressing a press conference here, the Chief Minister said that the Narendra Modi led government is misusing the agencies. The three independent agencies had become arms of the Centre. They were functioning as agencies of Modi. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had become MBI (Modi Bureau of Investigation), he ridiculed.

Alleging that Modi led Centre failed in all fronts, he regretted that the Indian economy is in doldrums, foreign investments in the country came down and industries are being closed because of wrong policies of Modi led Centre. He said that the state were opposing the Centre’s proposal of imposing Rs cess on sugar per KG.

Mr Narayanaswamy said that Narendra Modi promised to grant Special Category Status (SCS) to AP, providing funds for the construction of Amaravati, the new capital city and Polavaram project but failed do so. He betrayed Telugu people by denying SCS, he said and appealed Telugu people living in Karnataka to vote for the Congress.

The Chief Minister of Puducherry said that the wave has turned towards the Congress in Karnataka and predicted that Siddaramaiah would become the Chief Minister after winning the elections.
