Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party will strain every nerve to ensure a Congress free India and the next step will be ensuring the defeat of corrupt Congress government in Karnataka which was now rpt now standing at the ‘Exit Gate’.
Addressing a mammoth rally in the city Mr Modi, sounding the election bugle for the BJP warned the Siddaramaiah government that the countdown of the Congress rule has commenced in Karnataka and the ensuing Assembly election will ensure a Congress free State.
He charged Mr Siddaramaiah of trying to take the state backwards while he was working on a major goal of taking the country forward. Corruption was ruling the roost in the State under Congress government which had become ‘commission government’ and failed to utilise the central grants for the benefit of poor and middle class properly.
The Prime Minister criticised the congress party of dividing the society and appeasing the minority for vote bank politics and supporting murders of BJP followers. ”Time has come that Karnataka becomes corruption free. And it will happen if there is BJP both at the centre and in the State.
Mr Modi honoured BJP State Unit President B S Yeddyurappa who led a record 85 days ‘Parivartana Yatra’ across all the 224 Assembly segments in the state.
”It was the idea of Party President Amit Shah which was a very good experience feeling the pulse of the people in the state and I expect the Yatra to give a huge advantage to the party in the coming election,” Mr Yeddyurappa said in his speech.
