Coming down heavily on the BJP, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam party National President N Chandrababu Naidu predicted that the BJP would not come to power in 2019 elections as it deceived people and failed in fulfilling its assurances.
Addressing the concluding session of the three-day conclave of Mahanadu here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister attacked the Narendra Modi led Centre by highlighting the prevailing cash crunch even after 500 days of demonetization, massive scams in national banks, failure in fulfilling the AP Re-organisation Act 2014 assurances and spiraling prices of petroleum produces.
“Can the BJP led Centre answer its failure in Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas. The unemployment has gone up by 6.23 per cent during the four years NDA regime. Cash crunch has still prevailed even after 500 days of demonetization” he lambasted
“The farmers have been left in lurch while the prices of petroleum have gone up. The people of the country have lost confidence on the Narendra Modi led Central government” he added.
“The miserable failures of BJP made the party weaken. Mr.Narendra Modi no longer mesmerize people. The regional parties will play a crucial role at the Centre,” he said.
He however, added that in 2014 people voted for BJP as they vexed with the misrule of Congress but the BJP misused the people’s mandate. “There is severe opposition among people of the country on the BJP,” he slammed.
Giving a clarion call to the TDP cadre, Chandrababu Naidu exhorted them to strive hard to strengthen the party and repulse the conspiracies of the BJP. Warning the BJP that they can not harm the TDP in the state by hatching conspiracy with the YSRCP he said “The TDP has 70 lakh activists and they will check the conspiracy and mischievous politics of the BJP,” Mr Naidu said.
He said that he had asked Narendra Modi led Centre to do justice by granting Special Category Status (SCS) to AP but the BJP launched an attack on him. The TDP cadre would repulse the BJP attack on him,” he announced.
Mr Naidu alleged that Nirav Modi, Vijay Malya and Lalith Modi deceived banks and fled to foreign countries. He said during the NDA regime bank scams have gone up and the people lost confidence on banks.
Mr.Naidu also questioned the probity of the BJP for handing over responsibility in the election to the mining scam tainted Gali Janardhana Reddy in Karnataka. “How can you (Modi) speak about honesty when you used him in election” he asked.
Mr Naidu also slammed YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and demanded that Rs.43,000 crore corrupted money of Jagan Reddy should be confiscated.
Meanwhile, the TDP adopted 37 resolutions at the Mahanadu conclave and passed.
