Joining the chorus against the RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s remarks on Army, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Monday criticised and said that “comments on Indian Army are in poor taste, against constitutional propriety”.
Quoting its Polit Bureau member and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s statement, the CPI(M) said that Mr Bhagwat’s statements exposes, RSS’s hidden agenda to float parallel militias to wreak havoc, crush national unity.
“The Left has always warned against Hindutwa terror and the parallel army he is talking about”, the CPI(M) said.
In his Facebook post, the Kerala Chief Minister demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must clarify his position on Mr Bhagwat’s statement, which ‘disrespected’ and ‘maligned the Indian Army”.
The RSS clarification following widespread protest against Mr Bhagwat’s statement, condemns the India Army and is an attempt to establish that RSS is more disciplined, Mr Vijayan said.
“We would like to know whether the Prime Minister supports this”, he said. The statement is proof that the RSS has respect for the Indian Constitution or Constitutional bodies, alleged Kerala Chief Minister.
“It exposes RSS agenda to float a parallel army and destroy national unity, which will create insecurity in the country”, he said.
RSS is attempting to turn India into Hitler’s Germany or Mussolini’s Italy, for this they are adopting Mussolini’s organisational methods and Nazi, alleged Mr Vijayan. “Floating a parallel army is a seditious crime”, he added.
