The online Battle Royale game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG is no stranger to being called addictive, or harmful or something else negative. There has been a number of incidents where state governments have taken steps asking to ban the game.
There have been other incidents such as that fitness trainer from Jammu who injured himself because he lost a game in PUBG. Now the Surat district administration on Thursday imposed a ban on PUBG. The main reason for the imposing on the ban was because of the increase in violent behaviour among the children and the youth, and they were also addicted to the game.
According to the administration, students were found performing poorly in studies because of their addiction to the game.
