Opener Tamim Iqbal (50) and all-rounder Mahmudullah Nasad (43) gave Bangladesh a valuable innings and defeated Sri Lanka by two wickets in Nidahas Twenty20 tri-series on Friday.
With this, the Bangladesh has entered the final and will take on India in the finals to be held on Sunday.
Sri Lanka made a challenging score of 159 for seven wickets in 20 overs, but Bangladesh won the final match by scoring 160 runs in eight wickets in 19.5 overs.
Opener Tamim Iqbal made 50 runs for Bangladesh with the help of four fours and two sixes in 42 balls. Mushfiqur Rahim scored 28 runs off 25 balls.
Bangladesh were on the verge of victory, but Sri Lanka took some wickets in the last overs and made the match exciting. Bangladesh needed 12 runs to win in the last over. Mahmudullah gave a huge six off Udana’s fifth ball and put the victory in the loins of Bangladesh.
