The BJP on Sunday lashed out at the Congress for tweeting a video, showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, when he was receiving Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said this displays the Opposition party’s “immaturity”.
“What they have done on their Twitter account shows their immaturity,” BJP leader and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters here.
The video is presented in such a form that it “does not behove a matured political party”, he said.
The BJP leader maintained that yet another survey has ranked Prime Minister Modi as “No 3 popular world leader” and Congress seems to have lost their balance and senses.
“This shows worst kind of politics…,” he said and pointed out that when a foreign dignitary visits India, certain decorum and conventions are to be followed. “But, Congress seems to have lost all that,” he said.
“This shows the lowest ebb of Congress politics,” he noted. Earlier in the day, the Congress sought to mock PM Modi’s “hugplomacy”, or his keenness for giving hugs to the heads of the state, while on diplomatic visits.
In a video released on the day Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in India for a six-day visit, the video also dubs PM Modi’s interactions with female diplomats and world leaders as “awkward”.
