e-Commerce and cloud computing company Amazon on Saturday said it was taking the matter of publishing an incorrect map of India on the brochures for an event held recently in Mumbai.
The Seattle (US) based company had published the incorrect India map on the brochures for an event of its Amazon Web Services entity.
The issue was brought up on Twitter, with calls for an apology from the company.
“We take this issue very seriously. We are working with our teams to ensure such inadvertent errors are not repeated,” said a spokesperson from Amazon Internet Services, a reseller for AWS cloud services in India.
The company had last year created anguish among Indians after its website was found selling doormats that depicted the country’s national flag.
