‘An atmosphere will be created, and on the basis of our organisational strength and the guidance of Mr Narendra Modi, we will win 2019 general elections,’ said Mr Shah while addressing BJP National
Office Bearers and State Presidents in the one day working committee meeting at the party headquarters here.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, party leaders Syed Shahnawaz Hussain and Dr Sudhanshu Trivedi said Mr Shah said they won’t stop till they win Odisha, West Bengal and Kerala among others.
Mr Trivedi said the meeting started by condoling the deaths in the recent dust storms.
Different programmes of the party were discussed and analysis sought from states, he said.
Feedback was collected from leaders who have been staying overnight in 20 districts, Mr Trivedi said.
As the fourth year of NDA rule is culminating, suggestions were sought and group-wise discussions held, he said. After that, joint discussions were also held, he added.
Mentioning the violence in West Bengal as the polling for the single phase panchayat elections were held on Monday, Mr Trivedi said,’ Democracy was murdered and this could be seen today. The Centre has asked for a report in this connection.’
Mr Hussain said that Mr Shah expressed confidence that the party will win in Karnataka.
Mr Shah said that ‘we are lucky that the party has reached at such an enviable stage’, Mr Hussain said.
Congress was finished because of its arrogance and lack of party organisation, Mr Hussain said while quoting Mr Shah.
‘BJP has done good work so workers can go and tell the people about it. Work has been done for the poor.
‘We have to create such India so that the whole world looks up to us,’ Mr Shah has said. ‘Some people say that BJP won by fluke in 2014 general elections. But, we have been winning consistently.
‘We do not want just to run the government but our aim is to see that India becomes a super power,’ the party president told the party workers.
Mr Shah had expressed confidence that the myth that BJP does not come back, will be busted.
‘We know know how to rule, how to come back and how to work.’
All decisions of the government were taken for the welfare of people, Mr Shah has said in his address to the workers and ‘We have to ensure that satisfaction does not converts into self-complacency.’
In the meeting Morcha meeting to be held on May 17, Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s death anniversary, Yoga Diwas were discussed.
Low-level politics happened in the Manmohan Singh Government, and there were many examples to prove that, Mr Trivedi said in reply to a question.
